FAQ — Verifiable assessment certificate

What is the Coodesh certificate and how is it different from a course certificate?

The Coodesh certificate attests that the person reached a minimum score on a skills assessment, not that they watched some content. The difference lies in what it proves. A course certificate confirms attendance or completion; the Coodesh certificate confirms performance on a test with defined criteria, a known difficulty level and, when the company enables them, integrity features that guarantee who answered. It shows the person's name, the assessment, the date and the score, and anyone can verify it through the link. It is proof of demonstrated skill, useful both for the company that ran the assessment and for the professional who wants to show the result.

How do I enable the certificate, and who receives it?

In the assessment's Settings tab, under Certification, you turn on certificate generation and set the minimum score. Anyone who reaches it receives a congratulations email with the certificate link as soon as the result is processed. Two things to keep in mind. First, the platform can also email people who did not reach the score, so enable this carefully in hiring processes, because that notice reaches the candidate before any recruiter decision. Second, the minimum score is the public bar of your certification: set a value that represents real proficiency, not your screening cutoff, or the certificate loses value for whoever receives it.

How can someone verify that a certificate is authentic?

Through the link. Every certificate has its own address on Coodesh, generated by the platform and tied to the actual assessment result, showing the person's name, the assessment, the date and the score. A recruiter or manager who receives the certificate by email or sees it on LinkedIn opens the link and checks it at the source in seconds, without relying on the image the person sent. This eliminates the classic problem of the edited PDF certificate: what counts is the record on the platform, not the file.

Is the certificate reliable? How does Coodesh ensure the person actually took the test?

The certificate is worth as much as the assessment behind it, and the company sets that level. For it to serve as proof, the assessment must have integrity features enabled: photo ID at the start, webcam proctoring with AI analysis, full-screen and second-screen control, tab-switch and paste logging, and browsing recording. With these, the result that generates the certificate has an auditable trail of who answered and under what conditions. Without integrity enabled, the certificate still records performance, but the company cannot vouch for identity. For internal team certification or training programs, we recommend the strict integrity profile.

What does the professional receive, and how do they use the certificate?

They receive the certificate link by email and can share it with anyone and add it to their LinkedIn profile under Licenses & certifications, using the Coodesh link as the credential. The certificate includes the score obtained and, depending on the assessment settings, the level reached and a breakdown by skill, giving the professional a picture of what they master and what they still need to develop. For companies that use Coodesh in training programs or Skills Intelligence, the certificate also works as a progress milestone: the person retakes the assessment after a development cycle and compares the results.
